Nissan Motor and Renault Trucks a unit of the Volvo Group, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to start Nissans original equipment manufacturing (OEM) supply of light duty trucks (LDTs) to Renault Trucks. The LDT vehicles supplied will be based on the platform that will be used for the next generation Nissan Cabstar and Atlas.
Based on this agreement, Renault Trucks will distribute Nissans OEM LDTs under its brand identity through its specialized truck dealer network. Renault Trucks will sell the OEM LDTs as a complement to the successful Master and Mascott ranges.

Mazda Motor Corporation announced the introduction of the partially remodeled Bongo van and Bongo truck, Bongo Brawny van and Titan Dash truck, all of which go on sale today at Mazda, Mazda Anfini and Mazda Autozam dealerships throughout Japan. (Note: the Bongo Brawny van and Titan Dash truck are not available at the Mazda Autozam dealers.)
A headlight beam adjuster has been added to all models, and some other lamp/reflector specifications for certain models have been modified to meet the regulations of the Economic Commission for Europe (ECE), which will be applied in Japan in January 2006. Also, for increased safety, some Bongo van and Bongo Brawny van models have added antilock brake systems (ABS) as standard equipment.

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation (MFTBC) today announced the official launch of a new initiative in the North American market. Last July, Mitsubishi Fuso announced a cooperative project with fellow DaimlerChrysler truck brand Sterling Trucks for Sterling to market a light-duty truck based on Fusos highly successful Canter product. Now, Sterling has unveiled the new product offering at the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) show in Atlanta. Called the Sterling 360, the Class 3-5 truck will be available at selected Sterling dealers across North America.

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation, one of Asias leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, has launched a line of heavy-duty trucks for the South African market. The FP & FV Series trucks, with gross vehicle weight (gvw) from 17.9 to 26.0 tons, will be available later this month for South Africa customers. The vehicles were introduced to customers and press at events held in East London.

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation today announced significant sales growth in Thailand. In 2005, Mitsubishi Fuso increased Thailand sales by 37% to 2,237 units (retail). This positive sales trend has continued in 2006. The sales growth was underlined by MFTBC President & CEO Harald Boelstler in remarks made at the 27th Annual Bangkok International Motor Show.
